Amortization

This WhereMoneyGo feature allows you to see your transactions at the time when you received services, rather than when the payment was made.

Amortize column​

In the Transaction worksheet the Amortize column sets the amortization of the given transaction. If left blank the payment will appear on the transaction date in your daily and monthly summaries.

Specific date​

If you provide a date in the column, WhereMoneyGo will move the transaction to the provided date in summaries.

Specific date plus range​

If you add a +10 after the date, for example 2021-05-01+10, WhereMoneygo will amortize the transaction over ten days starting with the given date.

As an example 2023-03-06+7 will amortize the transaction over the week starting March 6th, 2023.

Number of days​

A number in the amortize column, for example 7, will amortize the transaction over the given number of days starting with the transacion date.

Month or Year​

A value of Month or Year will amortize the transaction over the month starting on the transaction date.

Group name​

If you've set up a group in the Amortize worksheet you can enter just the name to amortize it over the given dates.
